Can Dillon help with this...

The link below is to a video of a brand new Dillon 1050 having the same issue I am having with my brand new 1050. Will someone please guide me (and him) on how to eliminate this concern?

I really just want to figure out how to get mine running as smooth as every other video I've seen of Dillon 1050 operation.

In this video, the user has a Lee factory crimp die in station 8.
I suggest emptying the case feed tube, and first see if the bump occurs when just cycling the handle. Next, run one piece of brass through all of the positions, see if it is associated with one position of the toolhead. Often, this is caused when the crimp die in station 8 is down too far.

I will pass your message on to the video owner.

For mine, it doesn't happen when there's an empty shell plate. It happens specifically in station 2 (resize/deprime) and station 5 (MBF Powder Funnel). I understand the added resistance downstroke as you're resizing the brass and I've followed the videos for setting up the MBF powder funnel. Any suggestions there? I'm using all dies supplied with my new press.

Push down on the edge of the shellplate at station 7. Does it feel springy? IF so, the shellplate lock ring needs to be a bit tighter. It is normal to require some effort to extract the sized case from the size die, as well as extracting the flared case off the powder funnel.

Sounds like the swaging station is not adjusted correctly. It is either pushing into the bottom of the case or the case flare is too aggressive.
