cartridge spring adjustment
Quote from Reloader on October 22, 2020, 6:35 pmWhen I insert a 45acp cartridge (and others) into station 1, the cartridge spring does not fully move out of the way (to the left) so the shell bumps the shell plate and knocks it slightly off, then the case isn't lined up for the sizing die. I constantly have to bump the shell plate back into place before sizing. It seems that the bend at the end of the cartridge spring bumps on the press. Should I shave a little off of the end of spring?

Quote from Reloader on October 24, 2020, 1:40 amIt is not necessary to trim the cartridge spring. By loosening the cartridge spring retaining screw (part 546), the position of the spring can be adjusted in or out as needed to hold your casing in place.
