Case Expander Die

I am new to reloading. I just purchased a used SDB and would like to load lead bullets in 45 ACP & 380 Auto.
I picked up some 230 grain round nose from a local gun shop and then decided to read the manufacturer's website on loading them.
According to the manufacturer, http://dardascastbullets.com/ “Thou shalt not flare the case”
They recommend using the Lyman Expander Die to produce a start land in the shell case.
I’m sure someone is loading lead bullets in a SDB.
What are my options?
Thanks,
Max

On a theoretical level you might incur less wear to the cases by using a Lyman M die, but in the real world it matters not. Flare cases at least .010" larger than a sized, unflared case, and no larger than .020" larger. It will work fine.
