Case feed tube
Quote from Reloader on April 30, 2021, 9:10 pmI inherited a XL650. It is missing the case feed tube. It is set up for 45ACP. Which tube do I need? 20532 or 20535?

Quote from Reloader on May 1, 2021, 12:59 amMy schematic does not show 20535. It shows 20532 for small primers and 20533 for large primers.
And to complicate things even more, the overwhelming majority of 45 cases require large primers. But, as many reloaders (like me) have discovered, some manufacturers made ammunition with cases that utilized small primers.
if it were me, I'd purchase both tubes. If you prefer to only purchase one, then I would choose the large primer tube.Best,
Terry

Quote from Reloader on May 7, 2021, 6:31 pmInspector710, you just bought a casefeeder, right? I can tell you than on my '650 the casefeed tube is clear with a sticker that says that it is part number 20532. It has an inside chamfer at the top and is 13-3/8" long. The bottom goes into the casefeed adapter. The difference between my red .45 ACP casefeed adapter and my black .308 casefeed adapter is that the .308 adapter is cut away to a height of 1-11/16" from the bottom directly opposite the indexing boss. The width of the cutaway is 7/16". This cutaway allows the long case to be pulled out by the casefeed arm. For a 308, this cutaway could even be a half inch shorter since the black casefeed adapter is also used by some longer cases.
