Case Feeder

Had a problem last night, loading 9mm but had approx. 300 cases in feeder and it jammed until I removed about 50 cases then all fine?

Be sure you are using the small pistol plate. Overfilling can cause binding, as the cases don't have enough room to roll around in the bowl.

What is the recommended number of 9mm cases to fill the case feeder?

Some of the "speed crankers" out there might cringe at this, but I put in 100 cases, 100 primers, and start loading.

When the last case appears, the last primer appears and case binding at the funnel is greatly reduced.

It happens occasionally, but I have learned to listen for the stop sound of the plate after each pull of the handle. If I don't hear it, I look up.

Of course, this will work if you put in more than 100 cases, I suppose.

Had the correct plate installed (only one I have) but it seems it cannot overcome the load and just does not turn, thought it may have to have a bit more load applied to  (to the bolt etc.) overcome it????? Sorry about taking a few months to answer. Bob
