If you are using the white Casefeed funnel adapter for the 9mm, then you need to remove it. At least the older models of case feeds have this white adapter. It appears in the xl650 manual there are two different assemblies with the later models (has metal plate). See page 55 of xl650 owners manual.
You also need to swap from the small pistol casefeed plate assembly to the large pistol plate.
