Case Lube Needed?

Is it recommended to use case lube when reloading with the SDB?

Great products!

Thanks,

Dan

The size dies are carbide, so lube is not mandatory. We use a little case lube on everything, just cuz it makes it easier to pull the handle.

You won't realize how big of a difference it makes until you try it. I recommend Hornady One-Shot Case Lube, just because you do not need to clean it off.

Is Hornadys One-shot case lube available on this web site? I can't seem to find it...

Thanks for the advise!

Dillon makes and sells our own case lube

Work got in the way of shooting and reloading and so my Dillon Case lube got dried out.  When I had to reload again, I didn't want to use it so I reloaded without it.  As Dillon said, you can do it but as far as I'm concerned it makes everything harder.

So, I'm back in the swing, bought a new bottle of the Dillon Case Lube and it works well.  I do run the loaded cartridges through the Dillon case cleaner to get rid of the lube (I shoot with my daughters and they complain when the new rounds are "sticky").

I recommend using the lube.  Doesn't cost that much.  I use a plastic mini-cat litter box to spray them.  It gets a little nasty from time to time but I just put it in the dishwasher when my wife isn't looking.

FMC Dave,

Add some isopropl alcohol to your case lube and shake well.
