case prep procedure

i have  a 5 gal bucket or more of 45acp brass i polished all of it in my large Dilllion . should i trim to spec or clean the primer pocket, the reason i ask is I've  always used single stage operations like for my 30-06. i would tumble,decap/resize, clean primer pocket, trim too spec, deber, prime using  hand primer, powder and seat.  the rounds i am wanting to load will primarly be target round but i've always tried to treat  them as if i would have to use them in combat. just a little paranoid. any suggestion on the best prosess will be welcomed  thanks.

45 ACP doesn't stretch, so no reason to trim. Do usse a taper crimp die to provide a proper crimp with minor case length variation. If the brass is no more than 20 years old, then no reason to clean primer pockets. Current primers won't leave enough residue to cause primer seating problems.

what about 5.56nato?, due to shortages i'm  going to start reloading 223. i have recently traded most of my 30cal  projectiles to a friend on a two or three to one rate. 2to1 for Hornadry vmax,3to1 on fmj's he got 1200 168grn.amax.  we are looking for brass(5.56) at about 8cents.

Suggest you keep doing all the case prep work by hand.  Can take more time but that's what "down-time" between shoots is fer! Use the press to full-length resize and then check case specs. After priming, loading powder, seating bullet, use a taper crimp die and never roll crimp your rounds. Click bang hole in 10 ring next round!
