Case sizing?

Got my 550B set up for .45ACP. Loaded rounds will consistently hang up in the case gauge just before going all the way in. Ironically, they seem to feed fine in my 1911.

Is my sizing/depriming die going too deep in the case causing it to flair out more at the bottom?

Check that the sizing die touches the plate on the down stroke.  You may need to raise the deprimer so that it does not push the bottom of the case.  Even a slight push on the shell plate is OK.

Thanks. So the sizing die is likely not going far enough? I'll check that for sure.

Size a handful of cases, then check the sized, empty, unflared cases in the gage.

This will tell you where the problem lies.

Will do. I think that the variety of brass might have something to do with it. It seems the winchester and federal brass fits perfectly; but I have a big bag of brass with stampings I don't recognize that seem to be the problem.

I have a similar problem. My cases have been roll sized and fit the case gauge fine until i load i load it and they no longer will go down in the case gauge. it seems the base of the shell will no longer fit the case gauge after i have loaded it? what am i doing wrong?

Forgot to mention i am loading 9mm on a 550

When roll sizing, be sure to also run the case through a conventional size die afterwards. It sounds like the taper crimp die may not be adjusted correctly. What is the O.D. at the case mouth on a loaded cartridge? It should be .376-.379". Too mush or insufficient crimp can both cause problems

I run the cases through the Dillion resize die. The case mouth on a loaded round measures .375

You might back up the taper crimp die about 1/8th of a turn then.
