Casefeed Arm Stop Pin

I took my case feed arm out because it was binding, and cleaned and lubed it. Upon assembly, I noticed the stop pin was not tight. I had to play around with it to get a new case to drop. My question-how far is the pin supposed to stick out at the bottom to stop the arm from traveling? Should this be Loc Tited? Thanks.

This does not have a fixed dimension. It is meant to be adjusted, then blue-loc-tited to prevent wandering.
