Casefeeder

Hello,

If you have cases in the casefeeder, cases are ready to go. Now add the primers. Is there a way to stop the cases from feeding cause now you have to get the primers over,  I think you have to pull the handle like 7 times before you get the first one in its station. What do you do , just keep pulling the cases out of the power drop/primer station untill you get a primer in there? Am I doing this right or is there a better way.

Thanks for the help ( I am an old 550 user, new to the 650 )

What we do here is to manually index the primer disc by pushing the primer index arm with a thumb until primers are rotated into position. This is faster and asier than any thing else.

If you need to index your primer disc to get a primer ready to rock n load . look between powder failsafe rod where the spring and adjusting nut is and the primer body housing are close together . you will see the primer indexing arm . each time you pull the handle it makes contact with a primer cam on the main frame body . Insert right trigger finger onto this indexing arm and move it six times .You should be in time so primers and cases find a happy union . Since you have a computer download the 650 pdf file from Dillon it's great to have a second quick way to look up info for you press. I have a older computer in my reloading area , reloading data ,inventory of cases -primers - bullets  but I can't tell you the number of times I pulled up the pdf file for my 650 to find info on adjustments , like any tool you have to tweek it some times.  Well I hope this helps .  Happy reloading  Joe A.

Sir, if you locate the primer indexing arm - it's between primer body housing and at the bottom of the failsafe rod that is connected to the powder measure . Push indexing arm to the right 6 times and you should have indexed enough primers so that when you pull the handle, cases and primers are in sync .. Hope this makes sense to you ...  also if you have not yet done it  please download the 650 PDF file / copy of owners manual . I have it on an older PC  I have in my reloading room .
