Cases jumping out of the shell plate
Quote from Reloader on January 11, 2015, 1:17 pmLoading .45ACP, when the ring indexer snaps to the right on the upstroke, the casings at station one come out of the shell plate just enough to to hit the sizing die. I have to stop and push the case back in to the shell plate to continue. This happens quite often no matter how fast or slow I go.
- The shell plate and dies are new (1k rounds so far)
- The brass is very clean (Deprimed and wet tumbled)
- The shell plate is clean
- the camming pin is adjusted to stop when the case is in, and not to push too much. The case starts fully inserted in to the shell plate. I watch the case jump out when the ring indexer snaps to the right. This is making the whole process tedious.
Any suggestions?

Is the shell plate loose? Push down below the seating die, if the plate moves, or feels spongy, it needs to be a little tighter.
