changing powder bars xl650

I am starting to change my powder bar in my xl650 to the large bar and I was wondering if any of you have tips or tricks for doing this. I am new to the xl650.

Loosen the allen head screw that holds the flat metal linkages on powder measure. Pull the square plastic piece away from it's recess on the powder bar. Remove powder bar.
