clearance above for a case feeder?

hello guys,
first post here. i was using a 550 for yrs. decided i wanted a 750. bought it 3 mths ago w/o the case feeder due to not
having the extra $400 ( w/ plate ) at the time. so i purchased the Alpha, 6 tube case feeder which works well but just is
time consuming to reload the tubes and keeping an eye on the each tube before it goes dry.

anyhow, my 750 is mounted on a regular strong mount on top of my bench which is 40" tall. ( this is where the clearance
issue comes in ).

the black tube mounted on the back of the press for the variable case feeder is only 14" ( from the very top of the tube )
to the bottom of my ceiling in my reloading room. if i purchase the case feeder, will there be enough room to put the case feeder
on and still be able to operate & hand feed empty cases into it?

hate to buy it and have to send back & i just dont have any other viable place to reload.

thank for any help!

Measuring from the top of the strong mount (where the machine bolts to it) to the top of the case feed bowl is 35 1/2".

thank you. i called Dillon also. they said 44.5in from base of strong mount to top of bowl which is the same
as measuring like you said. i`ll have only about 4in of clearance to feed the bowl.

i`ll keep using the 6 tube feeder from Double Alpha until i get sick of it. but i just dont have any other place to
mount it.

You could shorten the top of the case feed post and the bottom of the clear plastic case feed drop tube 2 or 3 inches without any problem.  I have some customers loading in low basements who've done that to gain the necessary room to dump brass into the bowl.

i was wondering about that. just so its the exact same amount from top of post & the bottom of case feed tube correct?

You have a +/-  tolerance of  about 1/8", so no need to be .001" accurate.  But yes, remove the same amounts from each.

thats good to know. about the width of a band saw blade or less. definitely not going to cut by hand.
thanks again! probably going to order the feeder from D tomorrow. gotta make a note to purchase the plate
.223/5.56 with it so i dont forget
