clunk, play in operating handle

I have a 3wk old 1050 that seems to have developed a pronounced 'clunk' on the upstroke when the sizing die releases (9mm civ and military brass (military is worse), all dies except sizing removed to track this down).  I have noticed there is a relatively large amount of play in the operating handle (my 650 has almost zero perceptible play, where as the 1050 I can rock the handle back and forth about 2/10ths in before any toolhead movement occurs).  Just trying to understand if this is expected behavior with the 1050, or if I have something wrong.

First, check and make sure the set screw that secures the handle is tight, and that the bolt that holds the toolhead down is tight. Next, check the #13685 screw that secures the 11010 carrier cap in place.

The camming action does mean that there is very little movement to the linkage and shaft at the beginning of the handle upstroke.

I load 38 SC and have had the same problem.  Make sure cases are well lubed (I like Hornady One shot, it's a bit pricey but it doesn't leave the cases sticky).

I also changed to the Lee U-die only (I used to use both the Dillon & the U-die in tandom) but broke the spring clip on the dillon and switched the U-die to where the Dillon one was so I could keep reloading while the part came in. Found it eliminated all the clunking and rounds still chamber check perfectly. Haven't changed back yet in @ 5K rounds loaded!
