Could bad alignment be why my car eats through tyres so fast?
Quote from josestanton on November 6, 2026, 6:44 amI've gone through two sets of front tyres in under three years and I keep blaming the brand or the heat. A friend finally pointed out that might not be normal and suggested I check the alignment. I honestly never gave it much thought. I found https://royalprinceautocare.com/blogs/impact-of-neglected-wheel-alignment/ while trying to understand why tyres wear unevenly and it was eye opening, especially the part about how slowly alignment drifts without you feeling it. Now I'm wondering how much money I've basically thrown away. Is it worth getting a full alignment check even if the car drives fine? And does it actually extend tyre life noticeably or is that just something shops say to get you in?
