Decapper E-clip
Quote from Reloader on October 14, 2013, 9:28 pmToday I was reloading as usual when the normal "thunk" of the decapping die spring turned into a "clack". What I found was that the E clip that retains the decap assembly into the die had gone MIA. So I looked in the spare parts kit expecting to find at least one, nope. Not a big deal, went to the auto parts store and bought a couple of 1/4" E clips and I was on my way. My suggestion to Dillon is to throw an extra one of these in the spare parts kit for those people that don't live within 5 minutes of a parts store.

Quote from Reloader on March 7, 2014, 8:05 pmJust wanted to add to this, I did find the extra clip in the die box but I had already bought the spares, well about a week ago I broke another clip, couldn't find the spares that I bought in November (of course) but did find the extra in the die box. That left me with one spare so I emailed Dillon and they sent me a handful of spare clips (no charge). Nice touch, I know they don't cost much (probably less than the postage) but it was the idea. I think I've figured out the lifespan of the E clip is around 25,000 rounds (that's approximately where they both broke) so I'm set for about another 150,000 rounds before I have to contact Dillon again.

Quote from Reloader on November 13, 2015, 3:21 pmGood post. I too broke an e clip and had long forgotten about the die box. Although I do also agree that they should be included in the spare parts kit just for extras.
