Deprime/Prime
Quote from Reloader on August 13, 2013, 10:33 pmI'm using a new RL550B and have just gotten it set up. This is my second RL550 so I'm not brand new to the product. It seems to me with my new system an awful lot of force is required to completely seat a new primer. Is there any adjustment in the priming system that will allow more complete travel on the forward motion of the reloader handle?

You don't say what caliber, brand of brass, or brand of primer you are using. If the brass has crimped primer pockets, this will cause a seating issue. Also, be sure your bench is stiff enough. We recommend at least 1" thick particle board, and to avoid using plywood for a bench top.

Quote from Reloader on August 14, 2013, 10:49 pmI'm going to try replying for the third time now. I'm loading 9mm. Bench thickness = 1 1/4" bamboo. CCI #500 small pistol primers. Once fired mixed head stamp brass - mostly Winchester and Federal. The handle is not hitting the chute/bracket. Now for the good news. Late last night, I couldn't sleep so I went down and messed with it some more. Something drew my eye to the powder system and saw that the delrin washer might be tightened down too much so I backed it off some and the problem seemed to be resolved. The reason that I had tightened down the delrin washer so much is that itmis extremely loose in its plate slot. It doesn't snap into place like i'm accustomed to but simply slips in and actually falls out of position completely on downstroke. Will probably place an order for a replacement washer. Thanks for your response.
