Deprimer noise/stick
Quote from Reloader on November 3, 2019, 1:39 pmStation 1 on 650, after case is deprimed, then I downstroke to size the case, then I pull back up on the handle to extract the die from the case, sometimes the die sticks in the case and the die makes a loud squawk when I pull the handle up and pull the die out of the case. I have re set and readjusted the die according to specs, several times. Deprime pin looks straight and good. What do y'all think is the cause of the sticking and squawking? I have reloaded this round (9m) tens of thousands of times and this is new. Thanks.

Quote from Reloader on November 3, 2019, 2:24 pmTry cleaning the die. To ensure it is not the de-primer, remove the de-primer and only resize and see what happens.

Quote from Reloader on November 3, 2019, 2:33 pmAre you sure it is the resizing die? Could be your brass is too clean, or new, and hanging on the powder funnel. Once it starts grabbing brass, it just gets worst. Look for brass buildup. If it is on the powder funnel you will need to clean it all off. Then find some way that works for you to lube the case mouths. Tumble the brass in used media may put enough dust on it to work. Or a spray lube.

Quote from Reloader on November 4, 2019, 12:35 amThanks to you both. I removed both the deprime die and powder die to clean. They both look shiny and clean, but I am going to soak overnight in mineral spirits and buff before resetting.
Will try the other suggestions after that. Thx agn,
Scott
