Dillon 450 Primer Shield

I have a dillon 450 that I purchased used some time ago with the manual pull primer that is missing the shield. A call to C.S. informed me that the new shield and housings are permanently attached and therefore I could not purchase the shield independently, my only option was to replace the whole housing unit and even then the rest of the parts may not interchange. Being frugal and handy it looks like the best option is to replace the threaded shield with a steel pipe from a local machine shop.

It looks to be 0.5 in. o.d. and the feed tube is 0.37 in at the tip leading me to assume that a 0.5" o.d. x 0.049" wall would work but it will need to be threaded. I can pick up 1/2-13 or 1/2-20 dies locally, if anyone has a older 450 with the threaded shield I would be tremendously appreciative if you could measure the pitch, if it is not the 13 or 20 tpi (or metric?) then I would have to source the die elsewhere.

Thanks!
