Dillon powder feeder

Why doesn't Dillon make a powder measure that will dispense stick powder reliably? Other mfg's claim to do that very accurately. With the engineering that Dillon has used to build these great machines, seems like they should be able to come up with a dispenser, at least as an alternative to dispense powders that are now difficult for the present dispenser. Has this topic been discussed at all, I haven't seen anything but may have missed it?

I've been a long time Dillon user and yes this topic has been discussed a Billion times.  Actually the Dillon powder measure will accurately dispense stick powder with a +.1/-.1 grain accuracy.  Note I have 6 powder measures and they keep this tolerance with NO problems.   But there is a seperate issue which will cause a much wider variance.  Its called bridging.  This happens when the sticks of powder hang together and don't release normally.  You get a small drop followed by a larger drop.   The solution is to polish the base funnel of the powder measure.  Its not fault of Dillon, its the properties of these powders.

Polish one like this and you will never have a problem again.

Warning: Only polish the cone.  Do Not polish where the powder measure slides.  If you do you will get powder migration out of the measure.
