Dillon Universal Decapping Die
Quote from Reloader on August 26, 2016, 9:39 pmWhat is the clip for on the universal decapping die?
When I adjusted the die itself to the proper depth, the pin was sticking out too far, and where it flares and gets larger, that portion of the pin was bottoming out on the inside primer pocket and will not allow a full stroke. So I backed the pin out...pulled the handle all the way down and readjusted the pin to the proper depth. Works great now. But the slot where the clip goes now is above the top of the die, and seems pointless. Am I missing something?

Quote from Reloader on August 29, 2016, 7:33 pmWe use the upper decap bolt on another caliber die as well. The groove is located for adjustment for that caliber. On the universal depriming die, some adjustment will be necessary, depending on the length of the case being deprimed.
