finally!!!
Quote from Reloader on May 10, 2013, 1:40 amPlaced my order for a press, dies (.40 and 9mm), and caliber conversions on march 13. Received my dies last week and just received notification from fedex that my press will be here next Wednesday. That will make it exactly 9 weeks from the time I ordered, just to give some of you a little reference.

Quote from Reloader on May 10, 2013, 2:52 pmI ordered press and dies on February 8th, 9mm, 45, 38sup, and 233. I have not received any dies yet, but they are shipping 45 dies finally.
How is it orders placed after me are shipping sooner?? So much for fairness. I am disappointed to say the least. I don't mind waiting, but should be treated fairly!!

Quote from Reloader on May 10, 2013, 5:23 pmI put in my order for my press on 3/22 and I still have not received the press. I received the 9mm dies that were ordered with it. I'm not sure what logic is applied to orders placed vs orders shipped. I am at 7 weeks so I realize I have time to wait but it is difficult when I see others receiving their items sooner.

Quote from Reloader on May 12, 2013, 10:51 pmTo Getsome: You are being treated absolutely fair.
You have to understand that Dillon, or any company for that matter, does not make all their components in house. They rely on their suppliers for components and raw materials. If you had ordered the exact same thing as jblut118 and they shipped to him first I would say that you are right, that is unfair. Dillon might have your .40 and 9mm dies but they may be waiting for other dies you ordered. .40 and 9mm are common calibers, 38 super is not. unfortunately, that might mean that Dillon has to wait longer to get them from their metal caster/machine shop. Right now dies are the hardest things to come by and they are responsible for the biggest wait times as far as backorders go.
I totally understand your frustration, Waiting is no fun and Dillon's communication is sometimes not the best. But, that is because they are a lot smaller of a company than people realize. They only have so many people working there. They are doing the best they can under the extraordinary circumstances we, as shooting sports enthusiasts, are all enduring right now.
They used to ship backordered items as they received them but people complained about being double and triple banged for shipping. Because of that they now wait till they have all the items in a backorder before shipping it to save the customer money. The reason why jblutt got his order first is because Dillon got all the items he ordered (which are different than all the items you ordered) in stock first. It has nothing to do with Dillon deliberately being unfair. As soon as Dillon has all the parts you ordered I'm sure they will ship them that day or the next.
Lastly, I hope you don't think I'm criticizing you. I just know how you feel and thought that if you knew the reason for what is going on it might make you feel a little better.
Hang in there!
