Finished cartridge eject
Quote from Reloader on February 28, 2010, 6:42 pmHigh folks, I just completed reloading my first test run on 9mm. The machine purrs like a kitten and was worth every dollar. However, I did experience one problem and for the life of me can't figure out how to solve short of prying and/or bending a spring the attaches over the Shell plate tightemnig bolt.
At least one out 20 finished cartridges pinches between the plastic shell holder plate and this spring. Using force is not the answer. You can feel the pressure on the downstroke when this happens and I now have to reach into the press and with my finger forceing the pinched shell into the plastic finished cartridge container. Is there a way to eliminate this problem?
Last question. What factory crimp die is recommended and fit the XL 650?
Thanks for your help.

Dillon is usually pretty good about giving fixes on their machines - but this one keeps coming up and I haven't seen a fix from them that eliminates the problem.
I think you can get two types of crimp dies from Redding. One a roll crimp and the other a taper.
