Frame mounting holes

Hello,

Could someone please help me in determining the exact dimensions for the mounting holes on the xl650 and 550 frames?

On my 650 using dial cailpers measuring the center of the bolt by eyeball I get:

A=4.0

B=3.30

I set mine on the edge of the table and put it in place... then used a center punch to tap the marks on the top so that I could drill them.

@ Coderpitt,

I am fabricating an adjustable height stand (single post).

Slot and tab construction for the DYI crowd who would like to weld it together at home.

I hope to have a prototype sometime the end of next month.
