Friction Plate?

Im going thru the YouTube vids on the Square Deal B.The cleaning vid mentions the Tool Head Friction Plate and how to test if it is worn out.

The vid shows the size die should touch the shell plate with a piece of brass in station 1, if the size die doesn't it is worn out. I have a Square Deal( NOT B) and it is not touching and there is a gap when I perform this test. Is this an issue?

Your friction plate is indeed worn out. Please email or phone us to request a replacement. If you email, please include your address.

HI..I received the plate toady and installed. I still have a slight gap , not as bad as before. Is this ok , is there something else I need to check?

It should be fine. Verify by sizing a case, then testing to see that it freely enters and exits the chamber.
