Full rebuild
Quote from Reloader on January 13, 2018, 6:03 amI've got an old machine that was passed down from my dad. I've loaded several thousand rounds with it, and he probably did the same. Lately I've been tearing it down a lot more frequently due to indexing, and primer feed issues. Usually I'm able to get it running smooth after cleaning and adjustments. but this time I just can't get it to index properly. It's got a lot of worn out bushings, the indexing lever is beat up, and the shell plate could stand to be replaced.
I'm considering getting a new machine, but I really love this one. Is there a complete rebuild kit that I can purchase? Or is it just too old, and time for replacement?
I realize no one can really answer the last question without seeing the machine. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has successfully done a full rebuild, and we're happy with the results.
At this point I'm spending more time working on it, than reloading.

Basically, contact Dillon. I would call the 800 number. They may have you email some pictures. But they do offer a rebuild service. They can update if necessary. Charges are very reasonable. Especially if you like the machine you have.

I'm pretty sure I figured out what the problem is. The delrin indexing arm is cracked, causing it to flex, and not fully index. The wave bushings are also cracked.
I'm going to order some parts, and it should be up and running soon.
