GECO R 9mm Brass
Quote from Reloader on January 9, 2020, 8:34 pmI’m using a 550B. When I encounter GECO brass the floating decapping assembly rises but doesn’t snap. Everything sizes and seems to work fine otherwise. There is mixed reviews of this brass on the web. Any ideas on why the floating decapping assembly doesn’t snap and I’m I hurting anything?
Thanks,
John

Quote from Reloader on January 9, 2020, 9:53 pmMy best guess is that the primer flash hole is smaller than the normal .075" found in American brass. Some European cases have .050-
055" flash holes. This means the depriming assembly is swaging the flash hole larger, and isn't loose enough for the decap assembly to snap back into place.
