Grease brand

What type of grease should I use to lube my XL650. I have some shooters choice that is used for lubing the rails of my 1911 when I clean it. Will that be OK?

I use whatever I have.

Page 43 of the owners manual:
Maintenance
Lubrication: Operating circumstances will
dictate the frequency of required lubrication.
It is highly recommended that the XL
650 be cleaned and lubed after every 3000
rounds of operation. Use 30-weight motor
oil on shaft, and wheel bearing grease on
pivot pins and all other moving parts. Never
use penetrating lubricants, aerosol sprays,
or solvent type lubes, such as WD-40 or
Break Free.

For shell plate bolt any quality grease will do. Lightly grease...

I use Use 30 weight motor oil on the shaft and Lucas Marine grease (blue) everywhere else grease is called for in the manual.
