Has anyone been successful in using a Hornady bellet feed die on the 650?
Quote from Reloader on March 24, 2017, 11:41 pmLast year I picked up a Hornady bullet feed die (9mm) and bullet tubes on a whim. I just switched the 650 over to 9mm from .38 Special and decided to set up the feed die. I seem to have gotten it working, somewhat, but it isn't 100% feed rate.
Opening the flare a little more than I normally have has helped keeping the bullets from tipping. Now I am battling either not getting a bullet on the up stroke or getting too many (anywhere from a double or triple all the way to emptying the bullet tube). The sweet spot of the collet adjustment seems to be a very narrow window.
If I can't get this running any better I'll go back to setting the bullets by hand.

After letting it sit for weeks, because I was tired of messing with it, I took it back apart and cleaned it with break parts cleaner then put it back together per instructions and it no works great. I think it still had some the rust preventer from the factory in the die parts. It now feeds everything from 100 grain to 147 grain 9mm bullets without fail.
