High Primers
Quote from Reloader on March 20, 2021, 10:55 pmI am having difficulty with my Primers. They are high and not flush with the case. I have taken the machine apart and adjusted the set screw (#13226) to ensure that the primer punch is flush with the bushing and the slide moves freely. The primers are still seating too high.
I sent an email to Dillon and received the following reply "There is an adjusting rod in the toolhead, between the size die and the swage backup die. Turning this rod down pushes the rocker arm up more, causing the primer to seat deeper. Adjust this in 1⁄4 turn increments until the primer seats slightly below flush."
Can someone tell me where this rod is located specifically, maybe with a part number on the diagram and how do I turn the rod down. I'm having difficulty understanding these instructions. Thanks.

If you click on the part number of the #12819, it is a link to the section in the manual which shows it in the upper right hand corner.
