high primers
Quote from Reloader on March 17, 2009, 2:37 amI am having trouble getting my primers to seat right. All of them are high. I have attempted to adjust according to the manual but I am still having trouble. I am new to reloading my pistol/rifle shells. I am reloading 38 spl. Any help would be appreciated.

If problem persists, I would check again your primer set pin to make sure its set at its max height without interfering with primer feed tip.

Are the pockets clean?
Are you pushing handle back 'til you feel a good firm stop? you can almost feel metal meet metal when the primer seats.
On my XL650 I can always tell by the feel of the handle when pushing it if I am not seating a primer fully.
