How important is bullet placement
Quote from CharleyH on September 18, 2025, 3:27 pmHi I am new to reloading and am wondering how important is having the bullet perfectly vertical when placing the bullet on the brass for insertion? I am reloading 9mm and sometimes when I place the bullet on the brass it leans to one side a bit but still seems to seat properly. Does the die have the capacity to adequately straighten the bullet or should I focus on keeping the bullet perfectly vertical?
thank you for the help.

Quote from The Human Manual on September 19, 2025, 4:16 pmThe bullet seating die is designed to straighten the bullet before it is seated into the case. As long as the bullet is oriented straight enough that it doesn't damage the case during seating, you will be straight.
