How to Replace the Case Insert Slide Spring (#23)

Has anyone replaced this spring and have any tips? Spring just doesn't push case in - the last 1/16 of an inch - just tad short. Adjustment is max out / machine is a 750XL.

If you move the case feed slide by hand, does it move freely and smoothly to its limits in both directions?

Replacing the spring is easy. Remove the cam from the top of the case feed slide. This exposes the stop screw that holds the spring and button in.
