How to set down stroke limit of ram

I am loading 30 carbine on the XL650 and when I seat the primers I have to be carefull not to use too much pressure because I can damage the case rim. When I use too much pressure the rim tears up through the shell plate. Is there a down stroke limit adjustment on the ram?

Primers are seated purely by feel. Are you operating the machine by hand?
