I found a spring

I pulled the dust cover off my 650 and a spring fell out. I

Never mind. I’ve discovered where it came from.

Only one I can think of is:

Inside the case insert slide assembly

ON my 1993 model xl650 it appears to be slightly different than
what is shown in the manual. Mine appears to have a spring within
a spring whereas the manaul picture seems to be of one spring only.

That is about the only spring I could imagine it is and I don't see
how that would have fallen out.
