Identifying military rifle brass

I know that military brass has a crimp on the primer that needs to be removed. The question that i have is how do i tell what is military brass with a crimped primer? I have all my brass sorted by head stamp. The most common brass that i have is R.P, FC, PMC, LC. From what i have been able to find on the Internet is that LC is military and the rest are civilian. Besides the other obvious head stamps of Winchester and hornady and others that are spelled out for me i am to assume that the ones that have little to go by or a couple of letters that make no since to me are military too? Im not sure if there is a web site or a book that can help me identify military head stamps. Also your info would help me a bunch too.  Thank you for any help.

A good rule of thumb is that any brass that lacks a cartridge marking, but only has a two or three letter abbreviation for the manufacturer and a date, is military brass. Number codes are almost always Chinese/Russian military berdan primed.

Travis, The FC, LC brass is most definately crimped.  PMC will be if it was made IAW military specs.  The RP may or may not be.  To identify the difference just look at a case that you have purchased off of the shelf and compare it to one of the FC or LC cases.  The difference very noticable.

I found it very difficult to tell the difference until I deprimed. Then it shows as a ring of metal in the primer pocket hole.
