inconsistant powder throw
Quote from Reloader on January 23, 2013, 3:49 pmI'm having difficulty getting the right amount of grains from my new 1050. My target is 23 grains and I get 19.5 to 21.5. I've adjusted the die and the screw on the powder measure. Is there a larger bar that will allow more grains? Is it the magnum powder bar p/n 21353? Thanks in advance for any help!

Quote from Reloader on January 23, 2013, 4:37 pmA taller powder bar , the standard large bar, was included with your 1050. It will throw charges from about 15-50+ grains of powder. It is about .712" tall.

Quote from Reloader on March 15, 2013, 5:37 amI had a similar issue reloading 223 on my 1050, my target was 26.0 grains and I was getting Huge variations. My problem was the powder die has the groove for the powder drop system to mount to. mine wasn't correctly seated, Although everything was tight it wasn't locked in. I recommend taking the two screws out and watching the flange go into its seat, then tighten the screws equally before full tighten. I know it seems very simple and something that is obvious but like I said everything looks tight even when it's not in its groove.
Anyway that fixed my issue now it's 26.0 every time using W-748, hope this helps
