Inconsistent powder drops
Quote from Reloader on July 11, 2020, 11:55 pmTrying to get my uncles Sq D B going after 3 yrs of no use. Was trying to get a powder drop weighed and it was all over the place. Sometimes it wont drop any at all ... sometimes a completely full case and then back to nothing or a half full case. He has 2 of them actually sitting side by side. 1 is set up for 9mm and the other 45 acp. The 9mm drops a precise amount each time and has the small bar. The 45 is the drop we are having issues with. I'm not a Dillon user so I dont know where to start looking. Please help.

Be sure you are flaring the case mouth at least .010" larger than a sized, unflared case mouth measures. Be sure the hopper has a decent amount of powder in it to start, then throw ten charges and dump them back before you begin weighing charges.

few, the type of powder can make a difference.
