Index lever moving forward-aft too much??

Long story:
I did a deep clean of my Square Deal B reloader wayyy back in 2020. I noticed the index lever was pretty nicked up and figured it was just normal wear and tear since I've had this for probably 15 years (and it was used when I bought it).

I bought a new one from Dillon and installed it. After installing it but before putting the base disk back on I move the crank handle up and down and noticed the index lever seemed to be moving too much. I asked Dillon and they didn't really provide a useful response.

Fast forward to now, I want to reload again but I don't want to damage the index lever. Does any one's Square Deal B index lever move this much?

Below is a video of the lever's movement.
I consider where the crank handle is at to be the front which is to your right in the video. "aft" of the reloader is to your left in the video.
So the lever moved forward-aft which is right-left in the video... Yeay for confusion!!!

Any hint, tips, experience you can share will be most welcome.

that looks to be the same as mine

with shellplate on it will look a bit different
