Unfortunately,we are a Company of people, and people sometimes do make mistakes. In your case, the tube package was accidently left out of the box when the machine was packed. When you contacted us, the missing items were promptly sent out via FedEx two Day Air.
As far as the die set is concerned, those are specifically not included with the machine, as indicated both in the catalog and on the machine web page. The reason for this is that many of our customers already reload, and posess dies usable on our equipment. The machine web page does have a list of suggested accessories to begin reloading, and our customer service reps are happy to answer any questions and review an order before you submit it,whether on line or over the phone. Looking over the orders you have placed, I would suggest acquiring a primer flip tray and a loading manual if you don't have them already.
I changed the order you placed this morning for the dies to Two Day FedEx(at no shipping charge at all), so that you receive the dies before you leave on your trip, and they don't linger on your porch for three weeks.

I have to say that I was surprised to see these negative comments in regards to Dillon. I started reloading this year and Dillon has been a great resource to me.
With the NO BS policy, you will not find better customer service and this is the reason for the customer loyalty. I think you should show some respect to Dillon and drop the attitude.

Take a deep breath and relax - perhaps a few dirty martinis will help. After you chill you will find that the folks at Dillon are #1 in every way. These people try to help anyone that calls with any crazy, off the wall questions. I know, I have called their customer service department asked moronic questions that were fielded professionally and kindly. Most of the time, I was at falt - breaking or losing small parts and the Dillon folks replaced them at no charge to me- not even shipping. So, unless you can walk on water or turn water into wine, stop bitching. Dawy, you may not believe this now but YOU WILL find yourself in a world of reloading hurt one day and a calm knowledgeable voice on the phone will talk you off the ledge. Good luck my friend and, hey, thanks for watching our backs out there on those lonely nights. You guys that wear the badge are the best.

Quote from Reloader on November 4, 2008, 9:26 pmI have to agree with my cohorts here. My experience with the Dillon team has been phenomenal and second to none. I did a lot of study before choosing a Dillon, and in the end, puchased the 550B. I load a LOT of .45 and .40, and as soon as I post this, am purchasing a powder measure and conversion kit for my .270 (first time using the 550B with rifle loads).
Like gregkirk said, there was a time where I lost the locator buttons (my fault) and they (Dillon) replaced them free of charge.
Things happen. I wish everyone could always get it right the first time every time, but like dillon said, everyone is human, and humans make mistakes. You still, no matter what other press you use, not be as satisfied with the reliability and warranty of the Dillon press.

Lawdawg, I've been self employed all my life and the fact you are retiring means we are about the same age. The Dillon people and company have realized the same thing I did years ago. The key to a successful business is, always has been and always will be customer service. Something that is rare in todays world. Don't give up on them, forgive and don't think about the past and give them an honest chance to make it up to you and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised. By the way, I'm not related either!
