Large Primer Magazine Orifice
Quote from Reloader on March 19, 2020, 5:28 pmIt seems every time I change from small primers to large primers, I have to get a new orifice because for some reason, the existing orifice is pinched and will not allow primers to feed into the primer cup. I've ensured that the orifice is properly aligned, that the magazine tube is placed in the primer assembly correctly, and that there are no obstructions to the primer feed. I've adjusted the primer cup pin, ensured it's the correct cup, and that the cup is securely in its proper place on the pin. I've gone through three orifices this time. Something is not right, and I haven't been able to figure out what is causing the problem. I wish the SDB had the same type of priming magazines that the XL650 has.

Quote from Reloader on March 29, 2020, 5:25 pmFound part of the problem, adjusted the primer cup height. It was too high by .07", brought it back down to 1.410". The cap on the magazine tube was too tight, as well, so I backed it off a bit. Will probably change the slide on the primer system, just to make it uniform.
