Large Primers Sticking
Quote from Reloader on February 1, 2013, 12:11 amHey Team Dillion, I just bought some Fiocchi large pistol primers and they easily get wedged in both the pick up tube and dispensing tube, my 15 yr old cci300's ran thru fine. I broke the plastic follow rod trying to persuade a stuck primer.
1. do you make a metal follow rod?
2. is it the primer of the old tubes needing cleaned out/lubed, if so how?thanks,
rex

Quote from Reloader on February 1, 2013, 4:59 pmYou really do not want a metal follower rod-think about it, this would be a hand-powered firing pin, and as soon as you use it to clear a jammed primer you will set it off, along with all the other trapped primers.
Use a small cloth cleaning patch wet with alcohol, and a 22 cal cleaning rod, to clean the large magazine tubes. Use the plastic follower and the cleaning method to push a patch through a small magazine.
Fiocchi primers are not noted for their uniformity in roundness. But right now, whatever primers can be found are what we use.
For the replacement part, email us, give the broken part description, your name and address, and we will mail a replacement to you.
