Leaking Powder Bar with AA No. 7

I've been reloading with Hodgdon HP38 in the RL 550B with no problem but switched over to Accurate Arms No. 7 for 10mm. It's a fine ball powder and it's leaking out of the powder bar and making a mess. It's also making the powder bar drag enough that I can't get the bar to reset completely after the hand lever is completely raised to the primer seating position.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Mesaure the thickness of the powder bar and spacer. They should be .355"-.357" . If they are thinner, we can mail you a thicker spacer bar.

AA7 is one of the smallest granule-sized powders made, this is a common problem. Temporarily, put a layer  or two of tape on top of the spacer bar to decrease the gap between the powder bar and spacer bar. Watch for a wear groove between the two. If one appears, use a file to knock off the high spots. Don't sand it out flat, as this increases the gap, making the problem worse.

Thanks, I'll measure the bar & spacer and put some tape on to thicken it up a little.
