Quote from Reloader on October 29, 2009, 3:50 pmWe hope to have it ready to ship by the end of this year. The significant increase in business since the 2008 Presidential election kept us so busy keeping up with demand for current equipment, that we weren't able to get enough new product development done.

Quote from Reloader on December 17, 2009, 9:01 pmI saw the prototype a while back, and I must admit, I was a little concerned, but after seeing the finished product in your showroom this afternoon, my concerns were for naught. It is beautiful!!! There is absolutely no slop in the ram and/or linkage which is more than I can say about the press I currently use for 50BMG. I will not disclose the brand of the green press I'm presently using..... I'm also extremely impressed with the apparent quality of the dies. Even something so simple as the priming die shows a great deal of thought went into it.
What will the price be for this unit? Can I talk you out of the one on the floor??? Not to sound too much like an impetuous child, but I WANT IT NOW!!!! Keep up the good work.

Quote from Reloader on December 18, 2009, 4:55 pmStill work in progress, but is a heavy iron frame unit, manually indexed;also developing a trimmer and primer pocket swager. As soon as everything is finalized I will relay the information on the website first.

Quote from Reloader on January 19, 2010, 2:54 amWe're getting a little closer, but the carrot is still dangling.
I wish that a little more info on the press would be released. Some better detailed photos, operation of it, anything.
I have to ask, is it truly progressive like the rest of Dillon's line? In the one ad there was a piece of brass on top of a die, almost like M2's primer seater die. Haven't seen a primer feed tube in any photos yet.
Pre-order, does this mean pre-pay?
The price sounds about right and it looks like a great press, but a lot more info would help make an informed decision.
So far it's like looking across the store trying to see if a pair of shoes will fit.

Quote from Reloader on January 19, 2010, 3:34 pmThere is not a primer magazine on the BFR. After testing, it is our opinion that the larger 50 BMG primers contain too much explosive for us to feel safe with a column of primers. Primers are manually set into the primer seat die.
It is progressive, but manually indexed, and you do move the case from the shellplate up to the primer seating die to seat the primer. Outside testing indicates a 200-250 round per hour production rate is easily achievable.
Pre-order means just that. This holds your place in line. You do need a method of payment, but the credit card is not billed until the machine ships.
As soon as the manual is finished it will be available electronically on our website.
