Loading 380

I have been loading 45acp for a couple years on the 650 with zero problems. Just got the conversion for 380 and I seem to be having issues with the case feed. The smaller 380's tend to get jammed up at the feeder tube up top as they enter and also sometimes feed in upside down. Am I missing something? I put in the small pistol plate in the case feeder. Otherwise the rest of the setup works fine. Never had any issues with 45.

I have 9mm log jam in the funnel as they drop from the shell plate in the case feeder. I've only been watching once when it happened, I usually don't know about it until the cases start falling on me. The one time I saw it happen the case was sitting a bit chocked in the shell plate and it dropped just before that position move out of the opening that allows then to drop into the funnel.

Kevin

I load 9mm and 380 on my 650 and have never had an issue with either caliber feeding the case feeder. My setup is strictly OEM and I've loaded ~10k 9mm and ~8k 380 with no issues. Sorry I don't have an answer for you.

Are you using the case feed funnel for 380 and 9mm?

What is the shape of the opening of your clear plastic case feed funnel, rectangular or round? If rectangular, you need an insert to prevent cases from flipping sideways.
