Loading for Submachine gun: Primers
Quote from Reloader on September 9, 2012, 2:59 pmHello,
I am preparing to load for my latest submachine gun, an MP-40. As I sit here pricing components it occurred to me:
Are standard small pistol primers safe, or are small rifle primers required since this thing fires from an open bolt?
Does anyone have any experience loading for an open bolt subgun in 9mm? This is my first of this type.
I'd guess the same would true of a Thompson, right?
That's my next purchase so maybe this will be killing two birds with one stone.
Thanks,
Bill
