Quote from Reloader on June 15, 2008, 8:07 pmanyone know if I need to trim to length new cases to load the .44-40 in the dillon XL650? Spent about an hour today trying to start loading for a buddy and his Vaquero and it seems finicky and wants to fold the side down a little.

Quote from Reloader on June 26, 2008, 3:42 pmThere should not be any need to trim new 44-40 cases. The Ruger Vaqueros chambered for 44-40 historically have a tight chamber, and most prefer .427" bullets.
