magnum rifle case feeder assy issue

I am loading 45/70.  When using magnum rifle case feeder, the small silver case adapter ring keeps being shoved up the feed tube area by the case about to be fed.  I have used grease (Lucas #2 tacky).  I want to weld it in place !!  Any suggestions?  I can provide photos as it happens frequently.

Let me try to use all the correct names as I am a refugee from the big green machine and new to the blue!  I was loading 45 colt and now I am loading 45/70 govt. so I needed the magnum/large rifle case feed assembly.  I removed the standard one and replaced it with the one I purchased.  I thought everything was fine but once in a while, a rising case would catch the metal arm bushing ... pushing it up and to the side.  I wouldn't see it right away as the powder measure was in the way.  So I started watching more carefully and that is what I saw.  So I looked for how to adjust the case feed adapter assembly and I saw a brief mention on page 11 (section 5.7) of my manual.  So I (improperly?) adjusted the small allen screw for the case feed arm to try to get it centered and the issue got worse.  After some reading more of the manual and just observing the operation I did the following:  I removed the case feed tube, I stood on a ladder and adjusted the case feed arm to align with the case feed adapter, I then operated the lever to the full downward position and adjusted the case insert cam (and yes, it is turned to the rifle side facing operator. I received unit with pistol side facing operator) until it was aligned with the extended cam arm.  Seems to be working fine.  45/70 has a huge rim and it was catching on gaps the tilting the case in the feed arm.  Picture shows arm bushing in the jammed position.  Sorry to have bothered you as I watch your videos as much as I can.  If there is a "proper" was to make the adjustment from pistol to large/magnum rifle, a video link would be most helpful.  I seemed to have stumbled upon the solution and the XL750 is running just fine now.  Thank you!
