NEED 45 ACP RELOADING DATA FOR IPSC

HELLO

IAM LOOKING FOR A LOAD TO SHOOT USPSA WITH. I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST DILLON PRESS. I HAVE BEEN RELOADING SHOTGUN FOR YEARS, AND NOW I'M LOOKING FOR A 45 ACP LOAD USING CLAYS POWDER THAT MEETS A POWER FACTOR OF 165. I AM RELOADING A 185 GRN PLATED FLAT POINT USING WINCHESTER LG PISTOL PRIMERS. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT.

PS I HAVE ALSO CONSIDERED BUYING ANOTHER POWDER CALLED TITEGROUP AND USING THAT INSTEAD. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Both powders will allow you to easily make major power factor for USPSA. However, you really need the use of a chronograph to check velocities in your specific handgun. Otherwise you need to load higher, to ensure you make the power factor.

if it's of any use at all, I have been really happy with "universal"

I shoot 6.0 grains with a 200gr berrys hollow point, seated quite deep, I think 1.180" IIRC....

This powder works well in my 40 and 9mm too 🙂

I SHOT IPSC SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I LOADED A 200 GR SIMI WADCUTTER AND 5.7GR OF WINCHESTER 231 TO SHOOTG MAJOR IN THE OPEN CLASS.

i use wst (wincester super target) and a montana gold bullet 200g jfp cuts a nice round hole in targets and have never had a feed problem. also makes major power factor with not much effort
